Tim was born on April 22, 1958, in Saginaw, Michigan to Donald and Jacqueline Leppek. Tim lived in Saginaw until the summer of 1970, when his family moved to enjoy the small-town life of Traverse City. Many years were spent fishing, camping, swimming, skiing, and hiking with his family and friends. Tim had an infectious laugh and was always ready for a good joke. He was exceptionally generous and would give the shirt from his back if needed.

He was preceded in death by his father Don. He is survived by his mother Jackie and his siblings Linda (Bryan) Beckwith, Dan (Nancy), Katie (Brad) Kunz, and Joe. Several aunts, uncles, cousins, nieces, and nephews. A memorial service will be held at a later date.

Tim's family is thankful for the kindness and exceptional care he received from Doug and the members of the staff at his Cass Road home in Traverse City.
