Travis James Rowan

Lake Ann - Travis James Rowan, 22, of Lake Ann passed away January 1, 2013.

Travis was born on August 23, 1990 in Traverse City to Tim and Sherri Rowan.

Travis graduated from Traverse City West High School in 2009 and enlisted in the Army Reserves. In his spare time he was a volunteer of the Long Lake Station #10 Fire Department. He enjoyed being with his family and friends.

Travis is survived by his parents Tim and Sherri, siblings, Jannipher (Nick) Cook, Stiphannie (Tom) Looks, Sammual, Joesiff, Tailer, Quincy, Jonathan, and Margaret, nephew Garret Cook, grandparents Fred and Nila Rowan of St. Ignace, Doug and Rosemary Bailey of Lakeland, Florida, and Ed and Carol Ivey of Williamsburg, Virginia, and several aunts, uncles, cousins and friends.

Visitation for friends and family will be held on Saturday, January 5, 2013 from 4 pm to 8 pm at the Reynolds-Jonkhoff Funeral Home. The service will take place at The Dwelling Place in Kingsley (3903 Voice Road) on Sunday, January 5, 2013 at 3 pm.

Memorial contributions in lieu of flowers may be directed to Erhiyoma World Redemption Ministries (EWRM) to support a large Christian elementary school in Ughelli, Nigeria. This contribution is not tax deductible since it goes directly to Nigeria, with no middle ministry in the U.S.
