TRAVERSE CITY - Ursula I. (Gotze) Rudinger Clark, was born September 11, 1927 in Werder, Germany. Ursula immigrated to the United States in 1948 through Ellis Island at the end of WWII. She slipped away peacefully on Sunday, December 25, 2016 at the Munson Hospice House in Traverse City, MI.
She was preceded in death by her parents, first husband Leander Rudinger, second husband Donald E. Clark, son, Harold E. Rudinger, sister, Elfriede Schneider and grand-daughter, Angela Magee.
Ursula is survived by her daughter, Diana (Jeff) Baribeau of Kewadin, MI, grandson, Kristopher (Amy) Jolley of Lansing, great-grandchildren, Nolan and Nicole Jolley. Grandson Paul J. Baribeau (Francis Mican) Louisville, KY.
Linda (Rudinger) Dielser of Durand, MI, grandson, Eric P. Rudinger, of San Antonio, TX, great-grandchildren, Nicholas and Cameron Magee of Lansing, MI.
Sisters; Brigette Kirschke, Inga Buchheim, brother, Werner Grundt of Germany and many nieces and nephews in the United States and Germany.
Ursula retired from Michigan State University in 1984 and moved to their beloved home on Torch Lake where she enjoyed golfing, gardening, entertaining, traveling and the arts. She loved life, her family and friends and you never went away hungry or thirsty from her home.
The family would like to send a special thank you to Munson Hospice House and staff. A memorial service will be planned in the spring.
