Vadene L. Barshney

Vadene Lenore Barshney, age 100, died on December 20, 2016.
She was born on October 8, 1916 in Marmaduke, Arkansas, the only child of Jane Cribbs Butler and Gail Butler.
Vadene was married to Dee Wesley Barshney who preceded her in death on February 14, 2004.
She is survived by her daughter Deena whom lives in Traverse City.
Vadene and Dee moved to Traverse City from their farm located in Hudson, MI. After relocating to Traverse City, Vadene enjoyed making crafts for their yearly church bazar at the First Baptist Church. She was an avid painter and knitter, owning a knit shop for 15 years in Addison, MI.
There will be a memorial service held in Traverse City in May 2017.
