Valerie Geraldine Husted, 81, of Traverse City, passed away on July 8, 2015. Valerie was born on December 4, 1933 in Rockford, MI to her parents, the late Erwin and Iola (Walters) Herron.
She married Arlen Husted on September 25, 1954 at St. Mary's Church in Grand Rapids. The couple had two sons together and lived in Rockford, Grand Rapids, Old Mission and Traverse City.
Valerie is survived by her two sons; Gary (Sharon) Husted of Suttons Bay and Terry (Sandra) Husted of Kewadin; grandchildren, Chauncey (Tammy) Husted, Brittney (Patrick) Darga, and Karen Husted; great-grandchildren, first great-granddaughter expected in November 2015; brother, Jason(Donna) Herron of Grand Rapids; and pet, Chloe.
She is preceded in death by her parents; husband, Arlen Husted (July 20, 2010), pets, Libby (2014).
A private family service will be held at a later date.
