Valerie Lou Mehrhof, 54, of Traverse City, died peacefully, July 22, 2017 at Munson Medical Center in Traverse City.
She was born February 21, 1963 in Traverse City to Donald and Louanne (Thomas) Mehrhof, who survive.
Also surviving are her 7siblings, starting with her identical twin sister Victoria Lynn Mehrhof, Kimberly (Scott) Ayers, Pamela Knapp, Russell Mehrhof, Jeffrey (Kristin) Mehrhof, Bryan Mehrhof and Patricia (Nicholas) Rice, 11 nieces and nephews; Matthew, Ryan and Brandon Ayers, Jessica and Taylor Knapp, Steven Peterson, Zachary, Brett and Alec Rice, Julia and Kendra Mehrhof.
Valerie is preceded in death by her nephew Joshua Ayers, uncle Lowell Thomas, grandparents; Russell and Beth Mehrhof and Edward and Freda Thomas and Aunt Georgie Drumm.
She loved to put together puzzles, watch cartoons, look at magazines, go to the pool in Florida, attend many sporting events with her parents and going to GTI with her friends. Valerie by far was the best cheerleader for her beloved Detroit Tigers and the TC Beach Bums. Country music was her favorite to listen to.
Valerie brought an endless amount of joy to her family and friends. She will be loved forever and missed dearly for all of her special gifts, her pure of heart disposition and her gentle, kind and loving ways.
A funeral service to honor Valerie's life will take place July 27, 2017 at the Central United Methodist Church at 11:00am with visitation one hour prior.
