TRAVERSE CITY — Valerie Ethel Terreault, 93, of Traverse City, passed away the morning of Friday, March 9, 2012, in her home. Valerie was born Dec. 28, 1918, in Detroit, to Edwin and Emma (Herbon) Oswald.She enjoyed cooking and baking, and made Christmas cookies until the age of 91. She was an avid Bridge player and played Pinochle up until a few weeks before she passed away. A lover of travel, she took many road trips out west and went on 13 cruises with the late Baldwin Terreault, her beloved husband of 64 years. She lived a rich, long and happy life.She was preceded in death by her brother, Edwin; sister Marion; sister, Marvel; and her husband, Baldwin.She is survived by her sister, Shirley; two sons, Roger (Genelle) Terreault and Gary (Laurie) Terreault; seven granddaughters; two step-grandsons; 15 great-grandchildren; five great-great-grandchildren; and several nieces and nephews.Memorial service information will be announced at a later date.Memorial contributions in Valerie's name may be directed to Munson Hospice or the Salvation Army.Please visit www.reynolds-jonkhoff.com to share your condolences with the family.
