Vera Dust's Obituary
Vera Irene Dust ,85, of Manistee , MI, passed away Sunday ,October 21,2012 at Bortz Health Care surrounded by her family.
Vera was born into a large family of nine siblings on April 21, 1927 to the late Harry and Sadie (McKee) McClellan in Custer, MI. On January 12,1946 Vera married Elmer Dust. Elmer was a friend from childhood. They were married over 52 years.
She and Elmer began a venture owning and running Dusty's Market near Fountain, MI. Vera never sat idle, raising kids, helping in the store and working around the house. She enjoyed the outdoors, working in the garden and knitting. She spent many winters in Zephyrhills, FL, but loved returning to be by her family.
Vera is survived by her children; Dennis and Hazel Dust of Milford, MI, Diana and Mike Doriot of Traverse City, MI, and Gregg and Laura Dust of Manistee, MI, by her grandchildren; Scott and Robyn Doriot, Jaime Doriot, Sarah and Lisa Dust, Scott and Shari Mosher, Dave and Jan Mosher and great grandchildren; Kelton Doriot, Lauren, Lyndsay, and Madison Mosher.
Vera was preceded in death by her husband Elmer, her parents and all her brothers and sisters.
Per Vera's wishes, cremation has taken place and no services will be held.
