Vicki Lynn Lorenz

Vicki Lynn Lorenz, 63, of Interlochen passed away peacefully on Tuesday, August 15, 2017 at Munson Medical Center. Vicki Lynn Smith was born on December 17, 1953 in Traverse City to the late Joseph and Elizabeth (Waineo) Smith. She married the love of her life Paul Lorenz on July 15, 1978 at Grawn United Methodist Church. Vicki had been employed by Northwestern Bank. She was the manger of the Interlochen branch until her retirement. In her spare time Vicki enjoyed gardening and going to BINGO. She was a fan of the Detroit Tigers and NASCAR, her favorite drivers were Dale Earnhardt, Sr. and Dale, Jr. Above all spending time with her family especially her grandchildren was greatest joy, countless camping trips, traveling to Disney World many times and Nashville were among her favorite vacations.

Vicki is survived by her loving husband of 39 years, Paul, a daughter, Tiscia Lorenz, a son, Paul (Amanda) Lorenz, six grandchildren; Makayla Lorenz, Alexis Johnson, Kylee Lorenz, Dylan Lorenz, Brayden Lorenz and Adelynn Lorenz and two step-grandchildren; Raymond Shaver and Alina Grate. Also surviving are two brothers; Gregory (Linda) Smith and Harold (Sharon) Smith and many nieces and nephews, a mother-in-law, Mary Foraker, many brothers-in-law and sisters-in-law as well as her beloved dog, Tucker.

A memorial service honoring Vicki will take place at 11:00 a.m., with visiting one hour prior, on Friday, August 25, 2017 at the Reynolds-Jonkhoff Funeral Home, 305 Sixth St., Traverse City, Michigan 49684. Rosemary Hagan, D. Min., will officiate.
