Victor Frank D'Ercole
Born 1-1-38 in Ferandina, Italy to Domenico D'Ercole and Rosa Iandoli.
He arrived at Ellis Island on February 4th of 1951. He attended school in Greenwich Village at St Anthony Catholic School.
At 18 he joined his older brother in the family Pizza business. Over a 16-year period the brothers together built seven different restaurant locations in Greenwich village. During that period, he met Frances Suzanne Hurley. They married and had four children: Domenico D'Ercole, Victor D'Ercole (Alexandra D'Ercole) Thomas D'Ercole and Rose Marie D'Ercole.
He retired in 1972 to follow his passion for Art glass and the outdoors. That led him to northern Michigan. He loved the outdoors, especially hunting and fishing. He was the founder of Hurleys Studio; a stained-glass business. Eventually retiring again after 27 years. Upon his retirement his son Victor D'Ercole purchased the family business which continues today. Throughout his life he was an avid Michigan football fan. Go Blue.
He was preceded in death by his older brother Thomas D'Ercole and sisters Vincenza D'Ercole and Christina D'Ercole Romano.
Victor is survived by his children; granddaughter Giuliana D'Ercole and sister Michaela D'Ercole Mule.
Memorial contributions in his honor may be directed to Hospice.
The funeral service will be held on August 24, 2024 at 11 am at the Reynolds Jonkhoff Funeral Home. Interment will follow at Grand Traverse Memorial Gardens.
