---- — TRAVERSE CITY --- Vickie Clark, 90, of Traverse City, passed away Jan. 10, 2012, at the Grand Traverse Pavilions.Vickie was born on July 9, 1921, in Suttons Bay, to the late James and Amelia (Koszarek) Horton. At the age of five the family moved to Traverse City, where Vickie attended school. She graduated as valedictorian from Traverse City St. Francis. After completing high school she worked for Montgomery Ward as their bookkeeper and later at Grand Traverse Overhall for 19 years. On June 5, 1946, Vickie married the late William Clark . Vickie was a devoted member of Immaculate Conception Catholic Church. She led the funeral luncheon committee for 25 years. She was also active with the Cherry Capital Model A Club, the Variety Club and the Grand Traverse Area Rock and Mineral Club. Vickie was preceded in death by her husband; parents; brother, Bobby Horton; sister, Delores Clouse; and brother, James Horton. Vickie is survived by her son, Leonard (Valerie) Clark; granddaughter, Marilyn (Nick) Babcock; grandson, Brian Mueller; and granddaughter, Christine Hill; and great-grandchildren Elizabeth, Ashley, Lynn Marie, Collin and Garrett. Visitation for family and friends will be held on Sunday, Jan. 15, 2012, from 2 to 4 p.m., with the rosary to be prayed at 4 p.m., at the Reynolds-Jonkhoff Funeral Home. A Mass of Christian Burial will take place Monday, Jan. 16, 2012, at 11 a.m., at Immaculate Conception Catholic Church. Burial will follow at Oakwood Catholic Cemetery. Memorial contributions in memory of Vickie may be directed to the Grand Traverse Pavilions or to Immaculate Conception Catholic Church.
