Traverse City-Victoria Elaine Zoulek, 84, of Traverse City, died
Thursday afternoon, March 21, 2013, at Grand Traverse Pavilions
following a brief illness.
Born July 30, 1928, in Traverse City, she was the daughter of the late
Amil and Mildred Myrtle (Newstead) Rumbach.
During her working years, Victoria was employed by Meach
Cleaners and Chef Pierre/Sara Lee.
Victoria enjoyed bird-watching, all animals, going for pontoon rides
on
Rennie Lake and playing scrabble and having dinner with her sister,
Ida.
She will be fondly remembered as a fun loving person.
She is survived by her daughter, Carolyn (Leon) McMahon of Traverse
City; grand-daughter, Tracie McMahon; step grandchildren, Stephanie
and
Jesse Jefferson; great great grand-daughter, Haley; sister, Ida
Thompson; brothers, James (Kay) Rumbach and Tom (Connie) Rumbach;
niece
and best friend, Roberta Manville, all of Traverse City; her pet
dachshund, Sunny along with many other nieces and nephews.
In addition to her parents, Vicky was preceded in death by her
husband,
William; son, Tomas and a sister, Helen Schulte.
A Celibration of Life Gathering with a light luncheon will take place
at
the American Legion Post #35, 1231 Hastings Street, Traverse City, MI
49686, on Sunday, April 14, 2013, from 1:00 P.M. to 5:00 P.M.
Cremation has taken place. Burial will take place this spring at
Grand
Traverse Memorial Gardens.
In lieu of flowers, memorials may be directed to Hospice of Michigan.
Envelopes may be obtained at the gathering.
