Violet Marie Blough

Violet Marie Blough, 80, of Empire passed away May 13, 2021 at the Maple Valley Nursing Home.

Violet was born on July 2, 1940 in Marquette to the late Homer Brown Sr. and Neda (Larsen) Brown.

Violet was preceded in death by her husband and five brothers.

Violet is survived by her sons Kevin (Wendy) and Edwin (Donna); grandchildren Mandy, Davey, Abbie, Madison, Samantha and Courtney (Ed) Gardner; great grandchildren Maverick and Cooper; and brothers Homer Jr. and David.

Violet was the matriarch of her family and loved to spend time with her grandchildren. In her younger years she was a supervisor for the Homestead and also tended to cherry orchards.

The memorial service will be held on Friday, May 28, 2021 at 11:00 am with visitation beginning at 10:30 at the Reynolds Jonkhoff Funeral Home.
