Virginia "Ginger" Doreen Taylor, 68, of Traverse City passed away at her home Tuesday, May 16, 2017, surrounded by her beloved family.

Ginger was born on Friday, July 2, 1948 to the late Harold and June (Spangler) Bezile in Traverse City. Following her graduation from Traverse City Central High School, she continued her education, becoming a licensed insurance agent. Over the years she had been employed by . John Guba Insurance Agency and Global Marine.

Ginger was a member of West Side Community Church where she was involved with the hospitality ministry. Ginger was one of the most considerate individuals anyone would ever wish to meet and was always looking for ways to help others. She enjoyed scrapbooking, a variety of crafts, gardening and spending time with friends. She owned a candy making business and was well known for her delicious chocolates. Her greatest joy was found in her children and grandchildren and extended family and times spent with them.

She is survived by her children, Chad (Katrina) R. Taylor of Vancouver, WA; Erin L. O'Brien of Traverse City; her grandchildren, Carter and Ryan Taylor, Colin O'Brien, Devin Harris, Berwyn Kandoll and Gavin Kandoll; her brother Dennis (Rachel) Bezile of Elk Rapids; Lonnie's children Christopher (Marcie ) Bezile and their daughter Eleanor, and Lindsay Bezile-Harden and her children Jacob and Chase, all of Surprise, AZ. Many extended family members survive as well. She was preceded in death by her parents and her brother Lonnie .

The service celebrating Ginger's life will begin at 2 p.m. Friday, May 19 at West Side Community Church, (4975 E. Traverse Hwy, Traverse City, 49684) with visitation one hour prior to the service. Pastor John Clark will officiate. Burial will be in Grand Traverse Memorial Gardens.

Ginger had asked that, if so desired, she be remembered through memorial contributions to Hospice of Michigan or West Side Community Church.
