Virginia "Ginny" Yarick, 80, of Traverse City, completed her earthly journey May 22, 2020 with her loving daughters at her side.
Ginny was born on March 13, 1940 to the late Robert Wagner and Alyse (DeVine) Wagner Gurtzweiler. She was one of two children. Her sister Carroll preceded her in death. In 1959 she married her soulmate, Richard "Dick" Yarick, in Monroe, MI and they began their adventure together.
Ginny was an avid quilter and sewer, making quilts for all members of her family as well as for her friends. She loved the outdoors, spending time in her gardens and watching the birds. The family remembers the drives they would take on Sundays, especially after church, exploring all the beauty that surrounded them. Up until her husband's passing, the drives were very important, especially to Ginny and Dick.
Surviving their mom, grandmother and great grandmother are daughters Gayle Yarick and Annette (Patrick) Kendziorski, grandchildren Amy (Erik) Olsen, Cari (Austin) Greiner and Ellen (Layton) Korson, as well as great grandchildren Leif, Mabel, Jack, Everett and Dashyl.
The family will be celebrating Ginny's life privately. Her final resting place is Lake Ann Cemetery, beside her husband.
