Wanda Marie Korb

Wanda Marie Korb, 86, of Traverse City passed away peacefully on July 5, 2023 at French Manor Yellow House surrounded by her children.

Wanda was born on May 27, 1937 to the late Edward J. and Iva P. (Donathan) Crouch.

On April 19, 1958, Wanda married the love of her life, Gerald L. Korb at Immaculate Conception Catholic Church.

Wanda and Jerry were lifelong residents of Traverse City and raised their family here. She was the unconditional loving mom of Valerie, Gerald and Teresa; and the adoring grandma to Callie, Troy, Mitchell, Sara and Madilyn. She was an extraordinary wife, mom, grandma, great grandma with a huge heart of caring and gratitude.

Throughout her life, she was a devoted member of Immaculate Conception Catholic Church.

Wanda was preceded in death by her beloved husband Jerry in 2018 after nearly 60 years of marriage, as well as her parents and her sisters Beatrice Houghton and Rita Hansen.

Wanda is survived by her children Valerie Korb of Traverse City, Gerald (Brenda) Korb of Traverse City and Teresa (Troy) McIntyre of Grawn; grandchildren Callie (Mitch Naber), Troy, Mitchell, Sara, and Madilyn; and great grandchildren Vivian, Emery, Roxanne, Monroe and Felix.

The memorial mass will be held at Immaculate Conception on Wednesday, July 12, 2023 at 11 am with visitation beginning one hour prior. Graveside services will follow at Grand Traverse Memorial Gardens.

Memorial contributions may be directed to Immaculate Conception Catholic Church. The family also wants to extend their tremendous gratitude to her loving care givers at the French Manor Yellow House and her amazing team at Hospice of Michigan.
