Webb K. Kane, 56, passed away peacefully on June 23rd, near his vacation home in Leland, Michigan. He was surrounded by his beloved wife, Karen (Sedgwick), and his children, Webb, Kristen, and Maggie. Son of Marilyn and Robert C. Kane, son-in-law of Carla and the late Jim Sedgwick, brother of Bob Kane (Dawn), Helen Kane O'Connor (Jamie), and Barbara Kane Kelley (Joe), Webb was also an adored Uncle, Nephew, Brother-in-Law, and Cousin.
Webb was a gentleman and a leader, who led by example and challenged others to always achieve their personal best. A graduate of DePauw University, and an Eagle Scout who earned The Order of the Arrow, Webb was a daring leader and loyal friend, who strove for excellence and lived his life with compassion. As CEO of Midvale Industries, he dedicated his energy to ensuring that Midvale was the best and most honorable organization it could be. He was a brave man, a respected neighbor, and a true friend, who was just as happy hard at work as he was hard at play. He will be remembered for his contagious smile, warm and caring nature, sense of humor, and how he embraced life with a vengeance. He was a loving husband and dedicated father, who lived with faith, strength, dignity and integrity.
