Wesley Measel Sr.

March 8, 1937 — February 2, 2023

Wesley Raymond Measel, Sr., 85, of Lake Ann, passed away February 2, 2023 at Munson Medical Center.
The man, the myth and the legend, was born on March 8, 1937 to the late Clarence and Hilda (Prezel) Measel in East Detroit.
Wesley was a believer in many things, first and foremost the Lord, second to that, his wife and children and lastly; measure twice and cut once. A true craftsman with wood, Wes would bring any project to perfection and many of his one-time clients would become long lost friends.
Wes will be remembered for his ambitious participation with the Redeemer Lutheran Church in Interlochen, his magical craftsmanship in his Lake Ann Home and the love and joy he spread to his family. His thoughtful ways and his generous heart will be a beautiful legacy to live on.
He is survived and missed dearly by his wife Brenda (Johnson) and sons Wes (Stacy), Daniel (Maria) and Kevin, as well as grandchildren; Edward, Devlin, Gage and Mallory and great grandson, Logan.
He is preceded in death by his daughter Christine and his parents as well as a brother and a sister.
A time to gather to honor Wes will take place on Friday February 10, 2023 beginning at 10:00am with visitation followed by a funeral service at 11:00am all at Redeemer Lutheran Church in Interlochen.
