William "Bill" B. Borstler, 74, of Traverse City, was called home to his Lord, January 19, 2015.

Bill was born on March 28, 1940 in Big Rapids, MI to the late William and Caroline (Ellefsen) Borstler. He married his high school sweetheart, Jane I. Remenap on September 9, 1959 in Reed City, MI.

Bill honorably served our country in the United States Navy, serving his tour aboard the USS Intrepid as a radioman 2nd class. He worked for Commercial Equipment Company as a service manager for over 40 years. He was also a devoted member of Bay Pointe Community Church.

Surviving Bill is his wife of 54 years Jane; daughters Kathlyn Peters of Kodiak, AK and Michelle (Greg) Marsh of Traverse City; grandchildren Adam Panks and Kaitlin Marsh both of Traverse City; sisters Donna Acker of Big Rapids and Carol (Terry) Paddock of Traverse City; and many other loving family members and friends.

A celebration of Bill's life will be held at 2 pm on Saturday, January 24, 2015 at the Reynolds-Jonkhoff Funeral Home. Pastor Nick Twomey will officiate.
