William Charles Engle's Obituary
William 'Bill' Charles Engle, 78, of Traverse City, passed away at Arbor House after a courageous battle with pancreatic cancer.
Bill was born April 1, 1938 in Detroit, MI to Robert and June (Drew) Engle. He grew up in Livonia and graduated from Bentley High School. Bill worked at Burrow's in the electrical engineering department and the banking/accounting department.
Bill devoted countless hours to working with children, teaching music, and volunteering with the TC Music Boosters and the TC Library.
He is survived by his brother James Engle of Spain; niece Tracy Engle of New York; nephew Mark Engle of New York.
He was preceded in death by his father Robert Engle; mother June (Drew) Engle, and aunt Thelma Hoag.
A memorial service will be held Wednesday, August 3, 2016 at 3 p.m. at the Reynolds-Jonkhoff Funeral Home, with visitation beginning at 2 p.m. Greg Harger will officiate the service.
Memorial donations in Bill's name can be made to Hospice House, 1105 Sixth Street, Traverse City, MI 49684 or Grand Traverse Dyslexia Association, 735 S Garfield Avenue, Traverse City, MI 49686.
