William Henry Kipp

Traverse City - William Henry Kipp, 76, of Traverse City passed away July 17, 2017 at Munson Medical Center.

Bill was born on May 6, 1941 in the Bronx borough of New York City to the late Calvin Paul and Marie Haagenmuller Kipp.

Bill grew up in Caldwell, New Jersey. As a child Bill suffered from Legg-Calve-Perthes which left him with one leg shorter than the other. He was an avid musician and a good athlete despite his leg.

On October 16, 1971, Bill married Helen Kubica in Pompton Lakes, NJ. Bill worked in international sales for Ingersoll Rand travelling across the earth and filling several passports in his travels. Bill, Helen and their children Ryan and Kendra lived in Africa, Saudi Arabia, and Atlanta, Georgia before they settled in Petoskey. In his spare time "Kipp" loved to hunt, fish and spend time outdoors.

Bill was preceded in death by his wife Helen, brother Robert and half-sister Betty Kerr.

Bill is survived by his children Ryan (Jennifer Tuttle) Kipp of Long Island City, NY and Kendra (Shawn) Worden of Traverse City. He is also survived by his grandchildren Noah Tuttle-Kipp and Quinn, Jackson and Keller Worden.

The family will celebrate Kipp's life in August at the family property in the Upper Peninsula that he loved to visit.
