William (Bill) Morrison Rouse, Jr. of Leelanau County, Michigan, age 89, died on Saturday, December 25, 2021. He was born in 1932 and was the only son of William Morris Rouse and Olive Cooper Rouse. He grew up in St. Petersburg, Florida and Harmon, West Virginia. He received his PhD from Michigan State University and subsequently taught and later retired from Miami University in Ohio. Bill is survived by his beloved wife of sixty-three years, Joyce Caroline (Schmidt) Rouse, his children Caroline Fischer (Rouse) Fraker (Tim), William Morrison Rouse 3 (Colleen), and Barbara Schmidt (Rouse) Phillips (Dave), and his grandchildren, Will, Emily, Abigail, Charlotte, Hannah, and Alex.

A small family memorial service is planned for the Spring.
