Traverse City – William Perry Thomas, Jr., 72, of Traverse City, passed away Saturday, June 25, 2016.

Bill was born on July 7, 1943 in Baltimore, Maryland to the late William and Virginia (Mitchell) Thomas. He married Kathryn Felcyn in May of 1982.

Bill honorably served our country during the Vietnam War in the US Army and then he graduated from the University of Maryland with a bachelor's degree in Business and Marketing.

After his time in the service he moved to New Jersey and was employed by the Kislak Company in the commercial real estate field. In 1986 he moved with his young family to Kingwood, TX where he lived for 28 years. He moved to Traverse City permanently four years ago. As a commercial real estate broker, he continued to run his own business for the past 30 years.

His fondest memories included spending time with his family and friends, golfing and playing Texas Hold'em poker.

Surviving Bill are his wife Kathryn Felcyn Thomas; children Jessica and Stephen Thomas; grandchildren Tyler and Rose Thomas and many other loving family members and friends.

Bill was preceded in death by his parents and brother Stephen Thomas.
