Wilma (Lautner) Black Alpers died August 25, 2019 at the age of 96. She was a lifelong resident of Leelanau County, farming anything from cattle, to cherries and iris.

She is survived by her children John (Sheryl) Black, William Black and Susan (John) Nink; six grandchildren; six great-grandchildren and Special friend Rev. John Greene.

Mass of Christian Burial will take place Friday. Aug. 30, 11AM, at Immaculate Conception Catholic Church, 308 N. Cedar Street, Traverse City, MI 49684. Visitation starts at 10AM and continues until the time of service. Fr. Anthony Citro will preside over Mass. Interment will follow in Traverse City's Oakwood Cemetery.

Wilma's family extends their gratitude to Munson Home Health Care, French Manor and Hospice of Michigan.
