Wilma J. Wright, 89, of Grawn passed away on Tuesday, October 3, 2017 at Munson Hospice House. Wilma was born on May 23, 1928 in Beulah to the late Bert and Myrtle (Vincent) Rayle. She was a graduate of Honor High School. Wilma was employed as a nurse with the Traverse City State Hospital, retiring after 36 years. She was married to Forest (Frosty) Wright on July 27, 1954. He preceded her in death. She enjoyed reading, music and crocheting. Above all she loved spending time with her family at her home on Duck Lake Peninsula.
Wilma is survived by her son, Glenn (Lorie) Wright of Interlochen, a daughter-in-law, Sue Wright of Lake Ann and two grandchildren; Jill (Chris) Meredith of Lake Ann and Brent Wright of Lake Ann. Also surviving are two sisters and two brothers; Dorothy (Clyde) Bjorkman of Pennsylvania, Barbara Harvey of Traverse City, brother, William Rayle of Lake Ann and Allen "Bud" (Marion) Rayle of Florida, as well as many nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.
She was preceded in death by her husband, two sons; Larry Wright and Jerry Wright, four brothers; Robert Rayle, Darryl Rayle, Larry David Rayle, and Donald Rayle.
Friends are welcome to visit with Wilma's family on Thursday, October 5, 2017 from 4:00 to 8:00 p.m. at the Reynolds-Jonkhoff Funeral Home, 305 Sixth St., Traverse City, Michigan 49684.
A Funeral Service honoring Wilma will take place at 10:30 a.m., with visiting one hour prior, on Friday, October 6, 2017 at the Reynolds-Jonkhoff Funeral Home. Pastor Josh Manning will officiate.
