Zachary "Zach" Mark Johnson, 19 of Traverse City, died unexpectedly on Thursday, December 25, 2014.

Zach was born on April 21, 1995 in Traverse City. He attended Traverse City West High School and while he was in school he loved to play baseball. Following his time at TC West he worked in the Oil Fields of North Dakota, West Virginia and Pennsylvania.

Zach loved the outdoors. Hunting and fishing were some of his favorite hobbies. Family and friends were very important to Zach. He was a good friend to many and will be deeply missed by all who knew him.

Surviving Zach is his daughter Brooklynn, his High School Sweet Heart Autumn Simonis and Mother to Brooklynn, mother Jennifer (Step-dad Michael) Gunderson, siblings, Dominic, Jazlyn, Olivia, Isabella, and Sophia, grandparents Mark and Barb Johnson, and many other loving family members and friends.

A Mass of Christian Burial will take place at 11am on Friday, January 2, 2014 at the Christ the King Catholic Church with a visitation held from 10-11. The Rev. Fr. Raymond Cotter will officiate. Burial will take place at the Grand Traverse Memorial Gardens. In lieu of flowers memorial contributions may be directed to Brooklynn's Education Fund.
