Traverse City – Zachery Josiah White, 44, of Traverse City, passed away unexpectedly Sept 11, 2022.
Zachery was born March 6, 1978. He graduated from Traverse City Central High School in 1996. He attended the Career Tech Center in the Culinary Arts program for three years. He was an excellent cook and he enjoyed preparing meals for family and friends.
He later worked in the construction trades which became a true passion of his. Zach embraced life with a zest for adventure and an eager anticipation for what came next. He had a fun sense of humor and always enjoyed a good prank. He enjoyed skiing, golf, camping, traveling, music festivals and concerts. One of his favorite catchphrases was 'I've got it covered'. Above all else what he cherished most in life was spending quality time with his large family and many friends.
Left to cherish his memory are his always-supportive parents Donald and Mary Jo White, his sister and best friend, Rebekah White, and his niece Madison Houy, whom he loved like a daughter. Zach's aunts and uncles include Carol and Morris Thomas; Dave and Chris White; Stephanie and Raymond Beach; and Barbara and Troy Turner. Zach loved visiting with his cousins Brian (Darby) Thomas, Jim (Maria) Thomas, Amy (George) Tabbert, Victoria (Dwight) Sylvester, Elijah (Nicole) White, Amanda (Shawn) McLendon, Stacy (Nitesh) Srivastava, Lindsey White, Brian (Michelle) Beach, Jordan Beach, Josh (Amber) Turner, Emily (Mike) DuJardin, Hilary (Brian) Peterson, and Seth (Ashley) Turner.
Welcoming him into heaven are his grandparents Carl and Helen White, Robert and Barbara Bradford, as well as his cousin Melissa Beach.
Family and friends are invited to share stories from 3pm to 7pm, Tuesday, September 20th at the Traverse City Elks Lodge, 625 Bay Street. Cremation has taken place and was handled by Reynolds-Jonkhoff, funeral home. Since Zach was allergic to flowers, please consider sending donations in his name to the Father Fred Foundation.
